The Art Galleries Association ARTE_MADRID was founded in 2000 and currently brings together 46 contemporary art galleries mainly based in three of the city's districts: Barrio de Salamanca, Plaza de las Salesas and Barrio de las Letras. Member galleries take part regularly in some of the most prestigious international contemporary art fairs, such as Art Basel, ARCOmadrid, Frieze, The Armory Show, FIAC, Zona MACO, ArtBo, SP-Art, Art Cologne or Artissima.
During 2012-2013 seasons, ARTE_MADRID galleries will host nearly 230 solo and group exhibitions with more than 500 contemporary and modern artists.
