How did Juan Hidalgo shape his musical language, and what influences shaped that musical aesthetic? Starting with his work Rrose Sélavy, we will explore how Juan Hidalgo drew on such disparate languages as Dadaism, minimalism, conceptualism, and serialism to produce one of his most iconic works, and how this shaped a new way of listening and a new kind of listener.
