Art Across Europe is a brand new European art network, born from the belief that collaboration between European cities can help promote local art scenes and their specificities. We believe that art has the power to gather people and we aim at creating new connections within and in-between each participating city.
Art and Gallery Weekends share the same goal, to give an extensive and unique approach of each city through the promotion of galleries, artists and the local art scene key players. From those common actions was born Art Across Europe, a European collaboration and a unique art network.
The project started with 7 Art and Gallery Weekend’s organisations: Brussels, Düsseldorf/Cologne, Lisbon, Madrid, Milan, Paris and Zurich, and tend to extend all over Europe. Each citiy shares the same goal; promoting local art scenes and its actors on a bigger scale. Within AAE, we believe that art more than everything has the power to gather people.
