En la performance “Con este lastre fiel, camino sin querer. Soleá en tiempos de arrastre” la artista toma la bata de cola —emblema escénico del baile flamenco y extensión virtuosa del cuerpo— para desactivar su imaginario ornamental y devolverla a su condición de peso. Aquí no hay despliegue coreográfico, sino fricción. No hay vuelo, sino arrastre.
La pieza se articula desde la temporalidad de la soleá, ese palo que sostiene la pena sin aspaviento, donde el compás no consuela sino que insiste. La bata deja de ser adorno y se convierte en materia resistente: tira hacia atrás, impide el avance limpio y obliga al cuerpo a negociar cada paso. La performer no “lleva” la bata; la padece. El traje deviene lastre fiel, una lealtad incómoda que acompaña sin redimir.

In the context of the exhibition Felipe Ehrenberg: From the Realm of Dreams, and in dialogue with the work of his fellow Mexican artist Gina Arizpe, we are pleased to invite you to the presentation of the exhibition catalogue Lo que no se ve, which will take place at Freijo Gallery in line with the exhibition at the Museo Extremeño e Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo.

The catalogue will be presented by José Jiménez Jiménez, Professor Emeritus at the Autonomous University of Madrid, the catalogue's author and curator of the exhibition, who will delve into the exhibition project and the conceptual keys that articulate the artist's work.
