On Tuesday, May 25, the Cuarteto Matrice will perform a concert at Freijo Gallery.

The Cuarteto Matrice is a string quartet born in 2016 in Madrid, meeting point of its members and origin of the project. Its members seek to bring to the stage chamber music from all periods and with a special interest in the Spanish repertoire of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries that remains hidden from the audience.

Its name comes from one of the first terms used for the city of Madrid, "Matrice" or "mother of waters", in honor of the city where the project was born and where its components currently reside and develop their professional activity.

Alfredo Ancillo, violin | Laura Victoria Hidalgo, violin | Berta Herrero, viola | Ana Laura Iglesias, cello.

On the occasion of the exhibition "Words and Things [The Order of Things]", by Los Torreznos, an encounter with the artists will take place next Wednesday, May 26, at Freijo Gallery (C/ Zurbano, 46).
