Artist Talk with René Francisco Rodríguez and Juan Miguel Pozo on the occasion of the exhibition Painting (Archive).

The discussion will take as its starting point the artists’ exploration of the concept of “Social Contexts,” examining how this idea informs their practices and is reflected in the works presented in the exhibition.

As part of the exhibition "An Era Builds Cities, an Hour Destroys Them", Águeda de la Pisa and David Beltrán will offer a guided tour of the exhibit on Thursday, June the 25th at 6:30 p.m. at Freijo Gallery.

The artists will share insights into the concepts and processes behind the work that forms the foundation of this collaborative project, in which these painters explore the possibilities of abstraction in the urban landscape through photography. The tour will provide a deeper look into their research on Madrid and Havana, two cities that, in these works, are transformed into visual compositions that show us details of the city.

The book Some Possibilities (Based on Garbage and Simulacrum) will be presented in the presence of artist Miren Doiz, art critic and curator Emma Brasó, and designer Elena Sanz.

The publication documents a recent body of work by Miren Doiz and has been published by the BilbaoArte Foundation.
